Job Description

Our Innovative Analysis Team is seeking experienced Systems Analysts for contracting opportunities with a strong background in technical analysis and a proven track record in delivering successful projects within the Financial Services sector.

This role requires a strong blend of technical system design, business analysis, and implementation skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of systems architecture, databases, development principles, and business process modelling.

Technical Experience Required:

- Requirements Analysis – Ability to engage stakeholders, interpret complex business needs, and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.

- Software Requirements Specification (SRS) – Skilled in drafting detailed, structured SRS documents, including use cases, interface definitions, and data flows.

- Process & System Modelling – Proficient in creating BPMN workflows, activity and sequence diagrams, and system interaction models using tools like Visio, Lucid charts, or draw.io.

- System Architecture & Design – Solid understanding of modular system design, integration patterns, and scalable architectures, including microservices.

- Data & SQL – Experienced in analyzing data structures, writing SQL queries, and mapping data flows across systems.

- Development & APIs – Familiar with object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, .NET), REST APIs, and integration concepts to effectively collaborate with development teams.


Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4–5+ years' experience as a Technical/Systems Analyst in complex environments.
- Proven experience in system analysis, technical specification writing, and solution design.
- Strong experience with databases and SQL; familiarity with data modeling (ERDs, DFDs).
- Exposure to programming/development concepts (e.g., Java, .NET, APIs, Microservices).
- Proficient in tools like Confluence, Jira, and repository-based modeling tools (e.g., ARIS).
- Familiar with industry frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, SOA, ACORD, and ARCHIMATE.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and business writing skills.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (Waterfall, Agile).

Education Qualification:

  • Matric
  • University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelors' Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCBA, PMP) are advantageous.
